BY USING MARGIN PRO, YOU AGREE TO THESE TERMS. PLEASE READ THEM CAREFULLY.

1. The Agreement

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Margin Pro, a Microsoft Word Add-in developed by John York ("Developer"). By using the software, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

2. Use of Service

Margin Pro provides a platform for research note-taking within Microsoft Word. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account and for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.

3. Subscriptions & Payments

Margin Pro offers two tiers of service:

  • Free Tier: Limited capacity (20 notes), no attachments, and basic features.
  • Personal Pro: Subscription-based access to unlimited notes, file attachments, and Global Notes.

Subscription payments are handled via Microsoft Commerce. All terms regarding refunds and cancellations are governed by Microsoft's Marketplace policies.

4. Ownership of Content

You retain full ownership and intellectual property rights to the content you create and store within Margin Pro. Margin Pro makes no claim of ownership over your documents or research notes.

5. Restrictions

You agree not to: (a) reverse engineer the Add-in; (b) use the service for any illegal purpose; or (c) attempt to circumvent any feature gating or note limits imposed on the Free tier.

6. Limitation of Liability

Margin Pro is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, John York shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from your use of the service.

7. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the service at our sole discretion, without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users of the service.

8. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Georgia, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
